Georgian Bay District Secondary School students joined forces with the Southern Georgian Bay OPP to create some Christmas spirit.
On Thursday, the Midland school hosted Const. Elana Durtnall and her colleagues to fill a police cruiser. And after everything was counted, the groups had collected more than 1,175 pounds of food and hygiene products.
"Thank you to all of those community members who supported this school based community event in support of the Georgian Bay Food Network," the detachment notes in a release.
